RLDB - Rivers and Lochs Data Base is the idea of Alan, a keen web designer and systems Administrator. it aims to be a comprehensive database of game angling Locations in Scotland and (if at all possible,with your help?) the UK. Site and database Created in 5 minutes. whilst sick and bored in bed at Xmas 2006.

The most important thing is to enjoy your fishing and Scotland when you travel.

I started fishing at the age of 6/7 years old, under the tutorage of Rev. James Bathgate, On the River Esk (Musselburgh)c.1977/1978. From there I have fished all over the UK specialising in seeking out Hill loch brownies and Wild fighting ferox trout at high altitudes (up to 2700 ft)in Scotland. As I enjoy a wee donder up a hill too somewhere less occupied on this overcrowded isle; or to a little less spoiled area such as the pool of Dee, a few miles into the Lairigh Ghru for some real UNTOUCHED WILD TROUT.

As well as Fishing. I have some time for work. I can often be found advising clients on effective usage of the Internet.And then designing systems/models or software schemas around the client or partners requirements. e.g. we would like to pay £50 and want a website delivery system unique like argos or BT! .......... I try my best!

I currently run/fix some of the UK's top performing Angling websites and a few for Rock bands Such as70's punk gods the Skids , Frankie Miller , Big Country , Nazareth and the Carnegie Hall to name a few of my other responsibilities.
